What is your position at Arryved?
Accountant or as I like to call it “Money in, Money out!”
What is your favorite part of working for Arryved?
Definitely the people! I came in at such an awkward time and I’ve been very impressed with the company’s leadership in navigating a lot of difficult situations, most notably COVID19. I miss office culture so much but I feel like I’ve still been able to build some great relationships w/ coworkers. My boss Tom and I talk on the phone every day and I’ve gotten the chance to grab beers with some Arryved teammates which has been amazing to both meet people in person as well as support our wonderful customers.
Interesting fact about you?
I have a beer ingredient tattoo on top of my right foot! When I quit teaching about 7 years ago, I was kind of aimless and found my home in the wonderful industry of craft beer. I got a beer tattoo because – duh, beer is delicious – but also to reflect/be reminded of how thankful I am to work in the greatest industry in the world. I was solo vacationing in Austin when I got it, so the grain icon is modeled after Hops & Grain Brewing’s logo which makes it special to my time in Austin/my first solo vacation.
What is your desert island beverage?
Too many to pick! Probably Bierstadt’s Slow Pour Pilsner because I imagine I’ll have nothin’ but time on that desert island. That, and probably Margaritas. We’ve gotten really good (probably too good) at making them homemade w/ fresh squeezed lime juice.
Do you have a work from home pet peeve?
My boyfriend has been going to work, so we’re not too annoyed with each other since I’m home alone most of the time. But if you asked my dog (Mochi, 4) and cat (Socks, 9) they’d probably tell you their pet peeve is that their mom talks and sings to herself… a lot.
What do you do to stay sane?
We’ve been crushing some excellent TV series, documentaries, and books during quarantine (my favorite being Crashing on HBO). I also climb at The Spot, play the Ukulele, run, and have been trying to get better at cooking. And of course, my favorite activity is probably visiting breweries although I like to think of it as “working.”
