An Ode to Tom Wrensch

Over the recent months we’ve been creating profiles of different members of the Arryved family.  This week is a special tribute to our beloved CTO and co-founder of Arryved, Dr. Tom! 

Dr. Tom Wrensch will be stepping away from the role of CTO to enjoy life in the countryside with his wife, where the margaritas flow like wine (aka retiring).  Though he won’t be Arryved’s favorite professor on a day-to-day basis, he will still be greatly involved in the direction of the company (because we would seriously be lost without him!)

Tom has been a fearless leader for Arryved since day one.

“It was all Dave’s fault.  And the beer, the beer was at fault too.” 

He spent many of the early days posted up in local taprooms from open to close, laptop open and coding furiously, on-call in person whenever someone had a question!  His dedication never ceased and Tom led the growing Arryved team in pursuit of the perfect product.  For years, he rose in the wee hours of the morning to double-check the daily reports and personally sent them out one-by-one.  Do y’all remember getting those emails from Tom (aka Rosie the Report Robot)?

We will miss Tom and his staunch leadership as he steps away from Arryved, but we know he’ll never be far away.  With his newfound free time, Tom plans to work on his writing and spend time with his wife, daughter, and their geriatric cat who tolerates him. 

Thank you, Tom,  for being a tireless professional, an exemplary leader, and a good friend.  Now go have some margaritas and relax!
